| As this is the first tip of the day it makes sense to start at the beginning. The grip or the hold. How we hold the club has a major influence on the direction the club aims at impact. Like all aspects of the David Riddle Teaching System the key is to keep the hold as natural and as simple as possible. When we swing the club our hands will return to a natural palms facing each other position (figure 1). Therefore it makes sense for our hold at address to also be a palms facing each other position (figure 2). The end result is a neutral grip that ensures the club aims straight to the target at impact. How we connect our hands is a matter of preferance. |
