History

An extension of the Academy the Golf School was established to develop golf in the region. It is aimed at children between the ages of five and eighteen. Started towards the end of 2005 the school has grown from strength to strength. Two schools operate, one at Services Golf Club and the other at Pretoria Golf Club.

Facilities & Coaching

All the facilities of the respective clubs are available to the children entered in the schools. All aspects of the game are covered and the children follow a manual given to them at the beginning of the course. The modules follow on each other with each module going into more detail than the previous one. The children each receive their own manual and on completion of the course do a written and practical exam. The children also receive a certificate for completing the course. Coaching at Pretoria Golf Club is run by Werner Kapp and at Services Golf Club by Eugene Massyn.

What do you get?

Two courses are available - Introduction to Golf and Advance Junior Golf(WTS) method of coaching is used which is developed by David Riddle. Lessons is scheduled once a week during school term and a lesson takes between 30-45 minutes.

General Information

Lessons are held on Tuesdays at 14h30, Fridays at 14h30. Each module is fully comprehensive covering all aspects of the game. The aim is not only to introduce children to the wonderful game of golf but also to provide them with the necessary skills to be able to teach others the basics of the game.
